  1. Attach the halyard<\/strong> (main, spinnaker, or genoa halyard) to the top eye<\/strong> of the ladder \u2014 on the side where the rungs are positioned face to face.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Hoist the ladder<\/strong> using the halyard, unrolling it from the bottom<\/strong> as it rises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Secure a line<\/strong> to the bottom eye<\/strong> of the ladder. This line should be fastened to the gooseneck fitting<\/strong> or any mast base fitting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Tension the ladder firmly<\/strong> using a winch.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
