Outils Océans’ mail and logistics division was born from close collaboration with local banking institutions. At the time, mail services were still operating with methods that had remained unchanged for over 50 years.

Recognizing this, Outils Océans set out to bring innovation to this traditional sector by creating the shuttle bag, a patented semi-rigid bag that stands upright on its own in sorting compartments, with no need for fastening systems.

This concept met with immediate success, and Outils Océans quickly became present across most major banking and insurance networks.

We went on to become a market leader in mail handling containers: satchels, pouches, shuttle bags, check boxes, and more.

Thanks to our expertise and the trust of our clients, Outils Océans has since expanded its offering to provide turnkey mail-logistics solutions including needs assessment, design, manufacturing, space planning, ergonomic workstations, carts, and custom software.

Today, companies and public institutions must handle and process a vast amount of information from a wide variety of sources, not only paper documents, but also PDFs, office files, emails, phone calls, and in-person interactions. These communication channels are now supplemented by social media, chat platforms, SMS, and web forms.

This information, often heterogeneous and unstructured, is difficult to process yet it represents a valuable asset to the organization.

The mailroom, historically responsible for managing incoming and outgoing paper mail, is now facing a decline in postal and internal mail volumes. However, it remains a critical communications hub, as many information flows are either not digitized at the source or not digitized at all yet.
