Our company
Outils Océans is a Breton SME with over 30 employees, based in La Forêt-Fouesnant, Finistère, where our headquarters and production site are located.
Outils Océans has developed recognized expertise in the study, design, and manufacturing of textile and semi-rigid equipment used to store, transport, and protect objects or documents.
More recently, Outils Océans has been supporting companies in the digitalization of their documents and processes.
Our story
Outils Océans was founded in 1987 by Vianney Ancellin, a former offshore sailor, to meet the need for a “sailor’s toolbox”. This led to the creation of the first Outils Océans bags, which soon began traveling the world alongside renowned sailors.
Our experience in offshore racing enables us to test our materials and products in the most extreme conditions.
That’s why Outils Océans products are made to go wherever you go—and to last—across a wide range of sectors: recreational boating, shipbuilding, industry, energy, telecommunications, maintenance, construction, mail and logistics, banking, insurance, public services, healthcare, and more.

Our four founding values: innovation, commitment, trust, and people.
Innovation is the driving force behind Outils Océans’ development.
We regularly test and integrate new materials and technologies to continuously improve our products and services.
Commitment is embedded in our team’s mindset. We strive to build partnerships that go beyond contractual obligations, while upholding our sustainable development and CSR charter.
Trust is our greatest pride. We build long-lasting relationships based on professionalism and a consultative approach tailored to your needs.
People are at the core of everything we do.
Internally, we are committed to maintaining industrial employment in France and providing fulfilling working conditions for our teams.
Externally, we ensure personalized support through a dedicated industry expert who understands your specific challenges.
R&D and Innovation
We deliver innovative, tailored, and comprehensive solutions designed to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
Once the objectives are validated with you, our design office develops customized solutions by optimizing methods and ergonomics.
In line with our eco-design approach, our design office ensures minimal use of materials and resources while maximizing functionality.
It analyzes the product’s life cycle and anticipates its reparability, maintenance, and end-of-life processes (disassembly, recycling).
