Outils Océans is committed

Our sustainable development and CSR charter is rooted in the company’s core values and leads each year to concrete, measurable actions.
We are proud to share our commitments and initiatives with you.

We are committed to transparency in both our manufacturing processes and pricing policy.

Clients are informed about product manufacturing conditions, lifespan, optimal usage guidelines, and after-sales service terms.

This allows purchasing decisions to be made with full knowledge of these factors, in line with the client’s specific selection criteria.

Choosing an Outils Océans product or solution means gaining in productivity, quality, and safety—while also contributing to sustainable development, as part of the added value is reinvested in long-term environmental and social actions.

We are committed to maintaining our technical expertise and capacity for innovation.
This is why we prioritize French manufacturing whenever economically feasible, in order to help preserve industrial employment.

Outils Océans also remains attentive to internal needs and works closely with its Social and Economic Committee (CSE) to continuously improve working conditions.

We apply eco-design principles by carefully considering the type of raw materials used, the amount consumed, and their environmental impact.

Whenever possible, we prioritize materials that are low-polluting in their production and recyclable at end of life.

We also carry out internal projects to reduce resource consumption and make greater use of renewable resources.

For example, thanks to our new premises, we have reduced our energy consumption per square meter by 30%, and we now generate 20% of our electricity needs through a solar panel array.

The life cycle assessment (LCA) of our products—particularly our containers—has allowed us to evaluate and highlight the significant reduction in environmental impact when our clients switch from single-use containers to reusable ones.

We have also been able to measure the positive impact of our repair service, which extends product lifespan and further reduces waste.

Since their inception, Outils Océans products have been partially recyclable.
Until 2022, recyclable components were limited to plastics, foams, and metal accessories.

However, most of our clients disposed of end-of-life products in general waste (DIB), which ultimately led to incineration.

We therefore decided to take on the challenge of developing a complete process for the collection, disassembly, and recycling of our products.
This service has been fully operational since 2023.

In parallel, we launched R&D efforts to adopt recyclable fabrics, allowing us to increase the recyclability of our products to nearly 100%.
