Outils Océans: The Semi-Rigid Tool Bag – The Fusion of Bag and Toolbox
An Original Outils Océans Creation
The semi-rigid tool bag combines the best of both worlds: the strength of a toolbox and the practicality of a bag.
Its story dates back to the very creation of Outils Océans, when the founder designed his own version of a toolbox to take with him on a round-the-world sailing trip.
The semi-rigid bags and pouches created by Outils Océans are based on this original concept, combining flexible materials (fabrics) with semi-rigid components (plates).
Their memory-shape semi-rigid frame offers:
- reduced empty weight,
- better protection of stored equipment,
- and enhanced durability.
Made from deformable, unbreakable materials, they resist harsh environments: acids, hydrocarbons, contaminants, humidity, corrosion, and extreme temperature variations.

The CO501515 Tool Bag
The CO501515 is the modern version of the classic plumber’s tool bag.
It is practical for carrying large tools such as pipe wrenches, adjustable spanners, benders, gas keys, or torque wrenches.
Its reinforced sides with flap closure prevent tools from falling out or being lost, ensuring both safety and convenience.

The CO3 Tool Bag
For small maintenance tasks, the CO3 tool bag offers a wide variety of storage options. It can hold tools, administrative documents, and electrical or electronic accessories, making it a versatile companion for everyday operations.
The CO2 Tool Bag
If you need greater capacity and more storage options, the CO2 tool bag offers two compartments with a panoramic view of your equipment.
- One compartment is dedicated to power tools.
- The second compartment includes a partition with tool holders, allowing for organized storage of hand tools.
For mobile maintenance technicians on daily assignments, the Outils Océans backpack provides ergonomic carrying comfort.
For interventions in urban environments, it is also available in a wheeled version for easier mobility.
The CO2 tool bag is ATEX compliant, making it suitable for use in hazardous environments.
The tools and PPE Backpack
The backpack is designed to carry both tools and PPE, and can be configured to suit all trades:
- PPE: helmet, gloves, insulating mat (depending on chosen options).
- Tools: partitioned tool holders for organized storage of hand tools, plus a lower compartment for small power tools or measuring devices.
Its size allows easy access through ladder cages, and it is ATEX compliant, making it suitable for hazardous environments.
Electrical Work
Do your electricians need to carry a wide range of equipment while protecting insulated tools? The CO6 large organized tool bag offers multiple storage options for hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
Its full-height fabric tool holders protect the insulation sleeves of your tools and make it easy to grab each tool with just one hand.
Protecting insulated tools is essential for live working (TST – Travaux Sous Tension). With its wide opening, the CO6 provides a complete overview of your equipment.
The CO6 organized tool bag is ATEX compliant, making it suitable for hazardous environments.
Definition of Live Working (TST)
- ELV – Extra Low Voltage: 0 to 50V
- LV – Low Voltage: 50 to 1000V
- HV – High Voltage: >1000V
Our tool bags are 20 to 30% lighter than equivalent products on the market. The weight savings are most striking with the large CO6 bag, which weighs only 1.6 kg empty, compared to around 3.5 kg for its leather equivalent — nearly 2 kg lighter.
On-Site Installation
For your on-site installations or construction sites, Outils Océans has designed a mobile service cart made of textile and semi-rigid materials.
Traditional market options are limited to:
- Lightweight plastic stackable boxes, which easily break under impact
- Aluminum carts, resistant but too heavy to move around easily
Our solution combines lightweight mobility, robustness, and durability, making it ideal for demanding field operations.
GThanks to the Outils Océans storage concept, you benefit from:
- A large organized storage compartment with trolley
- A removable tool bag at the top
- All this with an empty weight of only 5 kg (3.7 + 1.3 kg) compared to 8–9 kg minimum for an aluminum equivalent — a 40% weight saving.
The large lower compartment is designed to store and transport heavy equipment, hand tools (with tool holders), documentation, and even a tablet PC (optional protective foam available).
The tilting front panel gives access to hand tools even when the upper tool bag is in place.
The removable tool bag can be detached and carried over the shoulder, making it ideal for use in rough terrain, stairways, or hard-to-access and confined areas.
Working at Height
Our range of containers for work at height is the result of over 30 years of field experience, ensuring you can work with maximum safety and reliability.
The CO8 tool pouch is designed to be worn on a belt or work harness during interventions at height. Tools are immediately visible and accessible, ensuring efficiency and safety.
The Tool Bucket
The tool bucket is designed to store live-working tools (TST) in its peripheral tool holders, making them easy to handle even while wearing insulating gloves.
It offers optimal protection for sensitive tools (TST, LV), as the holders protect the entire length of the insulation sleeve.
Its square shape and fixed carrying handle with textile loop for attaching a carabiner ensure secure suspension while preventing dropped objects, enhancing both safety and practicality.
Industrial and Agri-Food Environments

The Outils Océans utility belts are designed to meet these needs.
Quickly adopted by electricians and technicians for small interventions, they are mainly used in industrial environments involving restricted postures, frequent movement, confined or hard-to-access spaces, and standing work.
They allow you to carry a selection of tools and/or PPE safely and conveniently.
The range includes three sizes and a special thigh utility belt.
Vehicle Fittings
When it comes to vehicle fittings, the instinct is often to use wood or metal.
However, textile-based fittings offer a smarter alternative: lightweight, compartmentalized storage that is easy to install and compact.
For example, we designed a vehicle-mounted support for live-working (TST) tools, equipped with 33 individual holders for storage and protection.
This concept can be adapted to all kinds of tools and professions, providing flexible, practical solutions for professional mobility.
As part of our custom-made solutions, we have developed vehicle fittings based on our sorter concept.
The size and number of compartments can be fully adapted to suit the intended use and the available space.
