Transport and protect
Intra-site
The shuttle bag is an original creation by Outils Océans, based on the following observation: filling a case is not the end of the process, as it must then be emptied for dispatch.

This is why we recommend direct sorting. This method consists of placing a wide-open shuttle bag in each case. The shuttle bag fits perfectly into the case without any fixing system. At the end of sorting, the shuttle bag is closed with a single gesture, removed from its case, and dispatched. When the rounds are completed, shuttle bags are easily put back into their cases with a simple push, allowing return control to be carried out at the same time.
The shuttle bag is used intra-site (within a building) for mail delivery and collection at mail points. The label holder and trolley index identify the recipient service for incoming mail delivery and the sender service for outgoing mail collection. For outgoing flows, this also makes it possible to identify the franking account for cost allocation.

The shuttle bag can also be equipped with an internal divider, allowing separation during collection between internal mail to be redistributed by the mail service, and outgoing mail intended for franking and postal dispatch.
Shuttle bags, soft pouches, and small parcels are grouped together in a distribution and collection trolley.

The Outils Océans Advantage
Discover the Shuttle Sorter: a revolutionary 3-in-1 solution that allows you to sort, deliver, and collect your mail.
With its support column, it functions as a sorter in the mailroom. On its own, it serves as a transport container. When redeployed into a column, it becomes a mail point for delivery and collection.

Inter-site

Outils Océans is a leader in reusable containers, combining flexible materials (fabrics) with semi-rigid materials (panels).
The shuttle bag was created by Outils Océans to fit perfectly into the sorting case without any fixing system. This enables direct sorting, avoiding unnecessary handling.
Practical, strong, and durable, its semi-rigid structure improves the presentation of mail. Your letters and documents arrive in good condition at their destination.
The sliding label holder indicates the addressing direction. From the very start of sorting, a natural self-check takes place by visualizing the position of the snap fasteners. The snap-fastener system secures the addressing during transport and handling (fixation during transport and locked positioning of the address label for clear visibility).

The wrist strap extends the service life of your shuttle bags. This option makes handling easier in the mailroom and is highly appreciated by transport operators. Compact when empty, a stack of 20 shuttle bags is only 20 cm thick. The foam springs allow the bag to flatten and adapt to the volume of mail being transported, without losing shape over time.
To enhance security, simply pass a pull-tight seal through the two eyelets. When tightened, it locks the zipper slider and prevents intrusion. For even greater simplicity and speed, opt for the quick-seal system. This solution is both reliable and cost-effective. We have selected for you the authentic SRVT2 sealing system, patented by our partner Versapak.

To avoid delivery errors, customization allows your carrier to easily identify your shuttle bags. It also acts as a deterrent against theft. Choosing different colors enables the implementation of a color-coding system.
With a service life of 5 to 8 years, depending on use (and sometimes longer), the shuttle bag supports a sustainable development approach. We guarantee parts and labor regardless of the reason for return. Beyond the warranty, our workshop provides repair services. We also guarantee the quality of materials, design, and manufacturing methods.

Pre-Sorting
Pre-sorting consists of separating document flows according to their nature or final destination: credit documents, check deposits, insurance documents, documents to be digitized, documents to be destroyed/recycled, documents for a service provider, or documents to be archived…
Standard soft pouches, or custom-made ones, can meet this need. For custom manufacturing, we require certain information summarized in the checklist below:
- Contents: type of documents or items to be transported, and volume
- Desired dimensions of the pouch
- Custom features: addressing, security, marking
- Materials: flexible, rigid, colors, transparency

Semi-rigid pouches feature one or two semi-rigid sides made of opaque polypropylene (black or grey) or opaline (translucent, allowing contact reading), combined with one fabric side or gusset (same fabric types as soft pouches).
They protect mail and documents while making handling easier, particularly when placing empty pouches back into cases for return to the sender (branch, subsidiary, office, service provider…).

The pouches can be customized with screen printing, featuring your logo and/or a business-specific inscription.

As a replacement for kraft envelopes used in inter-office mail circulation, choose the Eco-PCI, infinitely reusable. Only the addressing sheet is replaced, after being used on both sides. The perforations allow control during document collection, ensuring that nothing is forgotten.

A model with an 8 cm gusset is available for circulating signature folders.
Cash float, coins

For coin collection from vending machines, the WA2431, CEV pouch has been specifically tested and approved for the quality of its materials and its double-stitched, turned-seam finish.
The multi-purpose WA2719 pouches are used at cash registers in retail stores to hold the cash float, coupons, and more. The choice of colors makes it possible to establish a color-coding system to differentiate between register types.

For custom manufacturing, we adapt the materials, colors, and design to your specific needs. For example, we produce transparent compartmentalized pouches for managing promotional campaign coupons.

Merchant Deposits
In the banking sector, merchant deposits provide an opportunity to implement a reusable container instead of a disposable one, such as heat-sealed plastic envelopes. This approach is fully aligned with CSR policies.
It is also a brand image driver for the bank, demonstrating consideration for its merchant clients by providing them with a high-quality container.

For custom manufacturing, we adapt the materials, colors, and design to your needs and technical constraints. For example, we produce rigid pouches with U-shaped reinforcement for ATM deposits, or with trap doors to properly calibrate the container to the deposit cylinder, thereby avoiding maintenance issues caused by blockages.
Checks and Bank Cards
Despite the constant evolution of payment methods, checks still represent over 1 billion transactions according to the Banque de France (2022 data), amounting to more than €500 billion.
Check containers therefore remain essential for transporting checks from bank branches and ATMs to digitization and/or archiving centers.
For checks that do not require post-collection processing, a reusable soft pouch may be sufficient. We manufacture pouches according to your needs and specifications, using different materials:
- Reinforced PVC – transparent, not recyclable
- PVC-coated polyamide (one side) – opaque, color of your choice
- Polypropylene (PP) coated on one side – opaque, color of your choice, 100% recyclable

For checks requiring post-collection processing, it is essential to protect them to avoid creasing, as creased checks can cause machine stoppages. The order of checks may also need to be preserved, along with any accompanying deposit slips.
To meet these needs, Outils Océans has designed the check box, combining the advantages of a soft pouch and a rigid box.

At the branch, the check box collects checks progressively as they are deposited and scanned (when digitization is carried out in the branch), remaining open during use. The order of checks is preserved thanks to a clamping divider that prevents mixing — no more rubber bands needed. The checks are protected by the U-shaped rigid frame.

The carrier collecting the box can easily identify the container type, as it is visually distinct by its shape and dimensions. The label holder ensures proper addressing and traceability.
When delivered to the service provider responsible for digitization and archiving, the flap is easy to open thanks to a three-sided zipper, while remaining attached to the box (unlike a two-piece rigid box with a separate lid). The clamping divider is released by unlocking the stopper. Once emptied, the check box folds flat to reduce volume for the return to the branch and is held closed with a fastening tab.
Practical, strong, durable, and unbreakable, it contributes to environmental responsibility with a reuse lifespan of 5 to 10 years, depending on handling.
The ROI is fast — less than one year compared with disposable envelopes.
E-commerce
In France, 1.5 billion parcels are delivered each year, largely driven by the boom in e-commerce. This generates 300,000 tons of packaging waste, much of which is not recycled.
Even though plastic packaging has largely been replaced by paper and cardboard, according to La Tribune (2021) this has led to an increase in paper and cardboard production of 7% and 5% respectively.
An eco-responsible alternative exists with reusable packaging. As the leader in reusable textile and semi-rigid containers, Outils Océans provides solutions with containers that can be reused thousands of times:
- Soft fabric pouches

- Shuttle bags and semi-rigid liaison bags

- Reusable covers

By analyzing logistics cycles, it is sometimes possible to implement round-trip shuttles, which make it easier to introduce reusable containers. Here are a few use cases we have encountered:
- Clothing rental

- Delivery of finished products from a manufacturer to a retailer, and collection of after-sales returns from the retailer back to the manufacturer
![Navette + Housse Mousse [détouré]](https://www.outils-oceans.com/blog/app/uploads/2025/04/navette-housse-mousse-detoure.png)
- Delivery of spare parts
For example, to address the booming growth of the bicycle and new mobility markets, and above all the need for manufacturers to find alternatives to bulky cardboard packaging that is difficult to dispose of, Outils Océans has recently partnered with a major bicycle manufacturer to replace traditional packaging solutions with reusable protective covers
The concept is simple and effective: bicycles are delivered to relay points, assembled there, and then handed over to the customer. The covers are collected at the same time and returned to the sender via the existing spare parts logistics flow
With an estimated lifespan of 5 years, and an amortization achieved in just 20 trips, the benefits are clear. When the covers reach end of life, they are deconstructed and the material is recovered for reuse — a virtuous model both ecologically and economically.
